Anchor has enjoyed another good period with the factory constantly busy through this traditionally quieter period. We exhibited at METS in November and had a very good show, meeting many existing customers and also new contacts around the world. There was good feedback for our new product and whilst there is obviously some caution for the season ahead, the general feel was positive.
The factory is now in full flow and we are now getting ready for the London show and look forward to seeing you there.
Anchor Exhibited again this year at the Southampton Boat Show and many thanks to all those who came to see us during the show. With the current climate as it is there was no surprise that visitor numbers were slightly down. Despite this we had the opportunity to meet a lot of new and old customers and there was a general feeling of optimism for the future. People are still out there sailing, buying boats and of course fenders! As with any show it is a good chance to meet the actual users of our products and get some direct feedback. The show was a big success and we look forward to meeting many of you again in January at the London show.
From a trade perspective Anchor Marine continues to grow and we are looking to increase our European and Worldwide presence. With our partners we will be pushing Anchor Marine on into new markets cementing our place as a brand leader in our field.
Over the past three years Anchor has been undergoing a redevelopment programme which has meant updates to the factory and most importantly a brand new machine. This has lead to efficiencies in production which has allowed Anchor to avoid any price increases for yet another year, despite the rising cost of raw materials.
Last month we took delivery of new tooling for the 0091, 0101 and 0453 standard fenders. This has given the fenders a flawless gloss finish to complement the already outstanding quality of our product. In addition we have taken the opportunity to add inflation and sizing information to the fenders making the different sizes far easier to recognise for reordering.
